Who are the “we” of Sadder-Wiser?

So far, we are me, Siri Johnson, and the long list of food researchers, writers, teachers and coworkers who have helped me learn. I grew up gardening, baking and experimenting with recipes. Eventually I joined the industry as a barista, then a line cook, then a kitchen manager and finally a baker/miller. I was also doing some freelance graphic design work along with the occasional art project. In 2020 I put my resources into developing Sadder-Wiser and did so until October of 2022. At that time, I began working in public service as a clerk. Now, I carve out moments to bring the next Household Guide to life and make plans for the future.
